Position: Medical Billing & Coding Specialist

Full Time/In Office Position

Total Medical Billing Services is seeking a Full Time Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to work in office (not a remote position). Candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle Management as well as CPT and ICD10 coding as it relates to Provider Specialties (Primary Care, Interventional Pain Management, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy) and Payer Requirements (CPT/ICD Codes). In addition, candidate must be self motivated, have critical thinking skills and the ability to document and communicate with team members, providers and insurance companies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accurate Coding of Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid payers - High Volume Coding and Claim Generation
  • Ensuring Timely Filing of Electronic and Paper Claims - General Understanding of Timely Filing Guidelines Required by Payer
  • Monitoring Claim Status
  • Denial Management - Ability to decode ERAs and EOBs
  • Appeals
  • Payment Posting
  • Statement Generation
  • Account Reconciliation

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 year experience

Understanding of Medical Terminology

Team Player

Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
