SVP of Data Analytics

Overview:
The SVP of Data Analytics will lead a growing technology organization's data analytics strategy and execution, driving analytics and insight generation as well as operational efficiencies. You will play a critical role in leveraging data to guide strategic direction, hiring, business process optimization, and enhancing the customer experience. This position requires a visionary leader with a strong blend of communication skills, technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to reinvent the company's relationship with data.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Define KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of data analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate data analytics into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the data analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage data to drive efficient hiring processes and cultivate talent pools.
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and hold team members accountable.
Data Governance:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure the integrity, security, and privacy of data assets.
- Implement robust data quality assurance processes to maintain accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across all systems and platforms.
Predictive Analytics:
- Lead the development of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI, to extract actionable insights and drive decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance predictive analytics capabilities and gain a competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of leadership and success in developing and executing data analytics strategies in complex organizations.
- Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques, with proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and regulatory climate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of translating business objectives into actionable data analytics initiatives.
