Intern, Retail Operations Analyst

What You Can ExpectAs our Retail Operations Analyst I (Cash) Intern, you will have the opportunity to support the facilitation of cash postings, analysis, and remediation of cash applications for all customer receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application to customer accounts. In this role, you will act as a liaison between Retail Operations and other functional departments, reconciling daily cash postings and researching discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate resolution. This internship opportunity is based in Houston, TX, and spans three months, from January 5, 2026 to May 29, 2026. You will report to the Retail Operations ManagerTimely and accurately cash matching in Engie's ERP systemReconcile daily cash match posting to bank account and analyze and research all unapplied cash receiptsAct as the liaison with other operations departments for the proper application of cash receiptsAnalyze cash receipts, ensuring that the correct cash amounts remitted are applied and allocated accurately to customer accountsResearch all discrepancies between the cash receipt submission and customers' outstanding balance to ensure timely resolutionTrack and report on all cash in transit receiptsProvide daily status update to ManagerMake recommendations to Manager on process improvements that streamline the cash application activityParticipate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiativeWhat You'll BringYou are at least a Junior Undergraduate Student an is currently working toward a bachelor's degreeYou are mathematically inclined and demonstrate strong quantitative reasoningYou have excellent written and verbal communication skills.You have strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and are goal orientedYou have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracyYou are self-motivated and able to work independently without assistance from your supervisorYou have proficiency with standard office software packageAdditional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in office if you are based in Houston, TXMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesCompensationHourly Range: $ $34.00 USD hourlyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
