Job Title: Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Job Summary:

Steel Force Truck Bodies is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of our growing truck body manufacturing business. This dual-role position requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices, office management, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:Bookkeeping Duties:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicing.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Track job costs and project expenses to support production and sales.
  • Process payroll, employee timesheets, and related taxes and deductions.
  • Coordinate with external accountants for quarterly and annual tax filings.

Office Management Duties:

  • Oversee general administrative operations and ensure office efficiency.
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and paper) for financial, HR, and project documentation.
  • Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and equipment maintenance.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal communications and external customer/vendor inquiries.
  • Assist management with scheduling, correspondence, and reporting.
  • Support HR tasks such as onboarding, record-keeping, and compliance tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper and/or office manager, ideally in a manufacturing or construction-related industry.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with job costing and inventory tracking in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software (e.g., ERP or CRM systems).
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and safety documentation procedures.
