General Purpose:
We're seeking a highly capable Data Analyst to join our healthcare technology team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic data environment, enjoys problem-solving across disparate data sources, and is motivated by driving insight and accuracy in healthcare performance metrics. You'll work with Excel, SQL, and Power BI daily, supporting both routine production tasks and new analytics initiatives.
Our current environment leverages Azure Analysis Services tabular models, and we are actively transitioning to Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape that evolution while deepening your technical and healthcare data expertise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to define and refine reporting requirements.
- Collect, clean, and integrate data from multiple disparate sources (including SQL databases, Excel files, and API outputs).
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets.
- Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data validation, transformation, and analysis.
- Document data definitions, business rules, and processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Interpret healthcare data in compliance with CMS and government reporting standards.
- Support and improve recurring manual processes while identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency.
- Work closely with senior analysts and engineers to support the migration from Azure Analysis Services to Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Analysis Services.
- Exposure to Python for data cleaning, automation, or reporting.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts, star schemas, and tabular model design.
- Understanding of HIPAA, PHI data handling, and general data governance practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years experience working as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a healthcare or healthcare technology setting.
- 3+ years experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and model relationships.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills (experience with joins, subqueries, and aggregation logic).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and reconcile disparate datasets from multiple systems.
- Comfortable performing manual, repetitive, and detail-oriented data tasks with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with healthcare data types, CMS programs, or government oversight requirements (e.g., quality measures, adherence, risk adjustment).
Minimum Physical Requirement:
The Data Analyst will perform his or her work in a general office environment using standard office equipment. The following demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

- Stand and remain on feet for extended periods of time
- Operate various business instruments, including computers, printers/scanners/fax machines, requiring manual dexterity
- Sit and concentrate for long periods of time to compute, examine, and interpret data
- Read paperwork and computer monitors, requiring visual acuity
