Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Clerical Assistant for The Financial Aid Office within University Enrollment Services.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provide administrative support to the Financial Aid office.
  • Greet students upon arrival.
  • Assist staff with time-sensitive projects.
  • Disseminate financial aid information to students via email and telephone.
  • Assist counselors with follow-up requests and correspondences.
  • Teach and provide guidance on technical information (e.g., website, student portal) to students, co-workers, and work-study staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with other offices and departments as a team player.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for student communication, both in-person and by phone.
  • Answer financial aid questions when possible and refer complex inquiries to the appropriate counselors.
