Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the dental clinic, assisting the dentist in various procedures, and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
  • Utilize dental technology such as 3D scanners and Open Dental software for efficient practice management.
  • Monitor vital signs when necessary to ensure patient health during procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, four-handed dentistry techniques, and various dental specialties such as prosthodontics is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems like Open Dental will be beneficial.
