Position Summary:   

The Night Auditor at Hyatt House plays a pivotal role in our hospitality team, ensuring that our guests enjoy a seamless and hospitable stay during the night hours. This position is at the core of our hotel's nighttime operations, offering a unique blend of guest services and financial management tasks. Working closely with the Front Office Manager, the Night Auditor is responsible for welcoming guests, handling late check-ins and early check-outs, managing room reservations, and addressing any guest inquiries that arise overnight. Additionally, this role involves performing end-of-day accounting tasks, auditing the day's financial transactions, and preparing reports for management. The Night Auditor must possess strong communication skills, a welcoming and professional demeanor, and the ability to address guest issues with efficiency and discretion. 

This role demands a keen eye for detail, the capacity to multitask effectively in a quieter, yet dynamic nighttime environment, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of customer service. The Night Auditor must be well-versed in the hotel's services and policies, adept in using hotel reservation and management software systems, and skilled in executing accurate financial transactions. A genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the drive to consistently exceed guest expectations are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

Qualifications Requirements: 

•    Proven ability to interact positively with guests from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. 

•    Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent education. 

•    At least one year of progressive experience in hospitality, particularly in guest services. 

•    Must have a strong focus on guest satisfaction, coupled with excellent professional demeanor and presentation skills. 

•    Possess a customer-centric attitude with refined professional presentation skills. 

•    Key strengths should encompass high energy levels, a proactive attitude, strong communication abilities, a track record of providing outstanding customer service, and a talent for improving operational effectiveness. 

Knowledge and Skills: 

•    Proficiency in multitasking is essential. 

•    Minimum age requirement of 18 years. 

•    Genuine passion for meeting the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. 

Language Skills:   

•    Proficiency in reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 

•    Ability to compose basic correspondence. 

•    Skill in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings with colleagues and management 

Mathematical Skills:   

•    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

•    Keeping the front desk and adjacent areas clean, organized, and in line with the hotel's standards, even during overnight hours.

•    Availability to work a flexible night schedule, including weekends and holidays, to align with the hotel's operational requirements and guest expectations. 

•    Occasionally handling, lifting, or moving objects up to 30 lbs, which might include guests' luggage or operational materials necessary for nightly events or functions.
