Who we are looking for

As a hybrid test Automation Engineer you will we responsible for working with the QA manager/Dev/Product leads in analyzing test requirements and come up with a comprehensive Manual and Automated test strategy for various releases.

The role is a hybrid role where you will be reviewing complex business use cases, and will define and implement manual tests, execute them along with automating key workflows.

What you will be responsible for
 

Architect, sustain, and scale sophisticated automation frameworks and tools to enhance the robustness of product and platform testing.

Augment automation coverage comprehensively, addressing both functional and non-functional quality attributes.

Collaborate with the QA Manager to assure alignment with overarching strategic directives.

Foster synergy with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality seamlessly within development processes.

Champion quality advocacy during planning phases, prioritizing quality-centric initiatives strategically.

Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for automation testing

Analyze testing requirements for State Streets software platforms and designing effective test cases to meet requirements

Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies aligned with project goals

Evaluate and assess new tools and technologies to improve test automation effectiveness.

Deliver exhaustive evidence and documentation for audit compliance,

These skills will help you succeed in this role

Total experience must include the following:

6 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or another occupation/title providing software QA engineering and testing,with a strong focus on Databricks.

5 years of strong SQL experience in Oracle, MySQL

3 years of Java/Selenium programming experience.

Proficiency in Python and Selenium for test automation

Solid understanding of data analytics and query optimization

Experience working in QA or engineering teams focused on data models and database tools

Must also have the following:

Hands-on experience with keyword/data driven automation frameworks;

Hands on experience with cucumber and BDD framework;

Hands-on experience testing Web Services using SoapUI or equivalent tool;

Experience with JIRA, Jenkins;

Experience in testing single page applications;

Must have hands-on experience writing VB Script code, not simply running tests;

Hands-on experience writing code for Java/Selenium projects and UFT scripts;

Proven solid communication skills and ability to work effectively with developers and analysts;

Proven ability to analyze customer requirements and design effective test cases;

Proven ability to ensure quick resolution of Customer reported issues;

Proven ability to write, review, and implement test plans and test cases (both manual and automated);

Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of product modules, QA effort estimations, and performing the required testing for all software modifications;

Proven ability to document all Test artifacts including Test Cases and Test Plans in the Test Case Management System;

Demonstrated experience with large, complex business applications (distributed systems);

Demonstrated experience in understanding the software development lifecycle, especially in Agile;

Demonstrated experience with web services, REST, SOAP, XSLT, XSD, and XML;

Demonstrated experience with and solid understanding of Oracle and SQL;

Demonstrated experience with Web Services testing;

Demonstrated experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems;

Proven ability using standard UNIX utilities to do testing and identify issues; and

Demonstrated experience with automation tools and scripting.

Proven experience building complex SQL queries to validate direct mapping, default values and complex transformations;

Proven experience using Informatica/Talend tools;

Perform data analysis and ensure the integrity of data pipelines and models

Experience with Risk Assesment process (IDD checks) will be helpful

Experience in data profiling

Work extensively with Databricks, contributing to data model validation and optimization

Optimize query performance in a Databricks environment

Contribute to the automation of database testing, with a focus on analytics rather than traditional DBA tasks

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus

6 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or another occupation/title providing software QA engineering and testing.

Alternatively, a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus 3 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or another occupation/title providing software QA engineering and testing .

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
