Overview

The Law Offices of Conner G. Spani, PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to help support a solo-practice attorney. This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in a busy litigation and arbitration law practice. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting pleadings, managing case files, and communicating directly with clients. We are looking for someone who is reliable, personable, and eager to grow with the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, proofread, and prepare litigation and arbitration documents, including complaints, discovery requests/responses, motions, and correspondence.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and document organization to keep a large number of arbitrations and lawsuits on track.
  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Lexis AI, etc.) to improve efficiency in drafting, organizing, and managing workflow. (Training and subscriptions provided.) The ability to use AI effectively is mandatory.
  • Conduct client intake calls, fact-finding interviews, and follow-up calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Assist in preparing for hearings, arbitrations, depositions, and trials, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
  • Provide administrative and scheduling support as needed to ensure cases move forward smoothly.
  • A general attitude of seeking opportunities to provide value to the firm and help push our mission forward is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably with exposure to litigation and/or arbitration.
  • Strong drafting skills, with the ability to prepare a wide range of pleadings and legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills — personable, professional phone etiquette, and able to interact directly with clients.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Lexis AI, or similar) and willingness to integrate them into daily workflow.
  • Familiarity with consumer law or personal injury law is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, fast-paced law office.
