Go Store It Management | About Your Position

As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations for our self-storage properties. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for real estate finance.

Go Store It Management | Property Accountant Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple properties.
  • Monitor/analyze GL accounts, adjust journal entries.
  • Prepare/record journal entries for revenues, banking activity, monthly accruals and other property activity.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate cash flow records.
  • Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
  • Track required payments and ensure items are paid timely,
  • i.e. taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
  • Assist with preparation of supporting materials for audit and tax return process, etc.
  • Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing.

Go Store It | Property Accountant Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferred
  • supplemental work experience accepted
  • 2+ years of experience in property accounting or related role
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience required.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Yardi voyager required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Experience performing and prioritizing multiple overlapping tasks
