Role Overview
We are looking for a confident, strategic, and highly proactive Business Development Director to lead and expand our new business initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and winning new client opportunities, while also driving agency marketing efforts to strengthen our brand presence in the local market. The ideal candidate is a persuasive, visible leader who can motivate cross-functional teams, foster strong internal collaboration, and represent the agency externally with credibility and charisma.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute an annual growth strategy to generate new business opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain and manage a forward-looking pipeline of prospects, regularly reviewing progress with executive leadership.
- Lead the marketing plan, including website, credentials, social media, presentations, speaking engagements, and memberships.
- Manage external search consultants and nurture relationships to support client acquisition.
- Lead the delivery of RFIs, RFPs, and pitches for new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with other offices or agency affiliates to pursue multi-location opportunities when appropriate.
- Track and report on business development KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Represent the agency at key industry events and networking opportunities to identify prospects and build visibility.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the business development and marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and teamwork.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
- Work closely with account, strategy, creative, innovation, and production teams to uncover organic growth opportunities and develop integrated proposals.
- Partner with senior leadership to define growth priorities, positioning, and client acquisition strategy.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive marketing narratives and internal team practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of business development experience in an agency or professional services environment.
- Proven track record of generating new revenue and winning business opportunities.
- Familiarity with B2C, experiential marketing, performance marketing, or media campaigns is desirable.
- Strong network with intermediaries, industry press, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience building and managing teams.
- Knowledge of the US market landscape, including key industry players, events, and competitors, preferred.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and presentation skills with senior-level client experience.
- High level of confidentiality and discretion.

- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX with hybrid work flexibility.
