As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and retaining professional liability insurance accounts within the healthcare sector. Your responsibilities will include working closely with internal producers on both new and renewal medical malpractice insurance policies. This is an inside service position with minimal travel requirements. Your excellent phone presence and teamwork skills will be key to your success.

LOCATION:

  • Preferred - Candidates local to West Hartford, CT
  • But also open to remote, qualified candidates anywhere in the Eastern or Central time zone

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • REQUIRED: At least 2 years of account management experience, and experience with medical malpractice insurance policies.
  • Candidates with exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal - to communicate in a prompt and professional manner with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Great team players looking to learn and grow

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

  • Partner with producers to secure, manage, and retain clients through effective policy marketing, servicing, and certificate processing.
  • Prepare and follow up on applications, support producers, and maintain comprehensive client files and data.
  • Provide outstanding service with a client-first approach and a focus on practical solutions

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Education & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in Commercial Property & Casualty client support or underwriting; familiarity with medical malpractice insurance is required.
  • License: P&C Insurance License required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
  • Systems: Experience with agency management systems such as Sagitta/ImageRight is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail with effective written and oral communication.
  • Collaborative team player with a successful history of working well with diverse personalities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a flexible, client-focused attitude.

COMPENSATION:

The national average salary for this role is $65, ,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
