DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:

All Points is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer for Orion's Software Only CEV Risk Reduction, Analysis, and Test Engineering Simulator – (SOCRRATES).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing components of the Orion SOCRRATES test simulation environment. This includes development and refinement of requirements, creation and update of design, implementation, verification and validation, and defect resolution. In an Agile/Scrum team environment, the candidate will primarily provide hands-on development and testing of the SOCRRATES components. The candidate will be required to work with simulation peers, a product owner, flight software development peers, subject matter experts, and test environment users. This is an on-site position.

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum requirement is BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Software), Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited college

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • BS+5/MS +3

SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with C++
  • Extensive experience with different network protocols (esp. RUC/RF)
  • Multi-threaded applications
  • Python
  • Linux

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge in overall software life cycle to include Systems Engineering, Production, software verification and validation, and HW/SW integration.
  • Ability to perform well in a team environment and meet schedule commitments under a highly constrained timeline.
  • Desired experience with QEMU
  • Simulation and/or space domain experience
  • Experience developing or testing real-time embedded software
  • Experience with emulator integration/troubleshooting
  • Language/Toolset/Subject Matter familiarity:
  • Java, Perforce, Eclipse, Unix, JIRA, Matlab / Simulink, Agile development, QEMU, Simics, VMWare, Wireshark, Eggplant, Time Triggered Ethernet, Agile, XML
  • Experience with Orion

  • UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
