Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Closer to join our dynamic team in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate closing of loans while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of loan processing, underwriting, and mortgage servicing, as well as excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients, loan officers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Close and prepare funding for conventional and government mortgage loans
  • Prepare and audit closing documents in a timely manner
  • Create and deliver initial Closing Disclosure to borrower within required timeframes and in compliance with all aspects of TRID requirements
  • Obtain signed initial Closing Disclosure from borrower within required timeframe to ensure timely closing of the transaction
  • Delivery complete and accurate closing package to settlement agent prior to loan closing
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all customers, real estate brokers, loan officers and all parties involved in the transaction to ensure proper and timely closing
  • Actively participate in ongoing efforts to continually improve customer service for internal and external customers
  • Ensure the data integrity on processing/closing system is accurate
  • Communicate with escrow/title companies, loan originators, and other parties to ensure all closing conditions and regulatory requirements are met prior to funding. Obtain or request missing conditions
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and plan work actives, use time efficiently and meet deadlines with high level of detail and accuracy
  • Review signed closing documents to prepare the funding of the loan
  • Prepare for the disbursement of funds as per the terms of the transaction
  • Review funding reports to ensure loans are funded within appropriate timeframes
  • Update the mortgage loan origination system with closing information
  • Confirm all closing conditions have been effectively communicated to the closing attorney/title company
  • As needed, perform various post-closing tasks such as: Auditing closed files, creating delivery-servicing packages, follow-up to internal and external customers for needed documents and insurance, and ensuring all required documents are present in file prior to shipping to investor
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Experience

  • One to three years previous closing experience required
  • Encompass Banker knowledge required
  • Demonstrated PC proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment required
  • Fluency in Spanish/Russian/Portuguese is an asset not a requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $63,000.00 per year
