Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication between patients and the dental team, and providing exceptional patient service. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical billing, and office management, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient treatment plans and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Manage insurance verification processes and communicate with insurance companies regarding coverage and benefits.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining organized files.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist patients with understanding their treatment options, care plans, and financial responsibilities.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix to maintain patient information.
  • Handle front desk duties including answering multi-line phone systems, greeting patients, and managing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) and terminology to assist in billing processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance verification is essential.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems; experience with Eaglesoft or similar software is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills are required.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
  • Experience in medical administrative support or as a medical receptionist is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of health information management practices and filing systems is essential for maintaining accurate records.
