AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. Founded in 2004, AG&E has 8 offices across the US and offices in India and Brazil. We are searching for a Construction Administration Engineer to join our team.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION ENGINEER

Qualifications

  • Licensed professional engineer with at least 5 years of construction related experience. An SE license is preferred, but a PE license is acceptable.
  • Experienced in site observations of construction and development of solutions to remediate construction related errors and deficiencies.
  • Experienced in site observation of construction for various structural systems, including those using structural steel and/or cast-in-place concrete.
  • Experienced with various foundation systems.
  • Knowledgeable of the requirements of seismic detailing.
  • Skilled communicator.
  • Skilled in dispute resolution between engineers and contractors.
  • Good report writing skills.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Conduct onsite observations of construction at the direction of the engineer-of-record for various projects throughout the company.
  • Perform site observations of existing conditions at the direction of the engineer-of-record for various projects throughout the company.
  • Prepare site observation reports.
  • Assist the engineer-of-record in the development of solutions to remediate construction related errors and deficiencies.
  • Track the construction implementation of remedial actions for correcting construction related errors and deficiencies.
  • Facilitate resolution of disputes between contractor and engineer.
  • Assist the engineer-of-record in the evaluation of change order requests submitted by the contractor.
  • Occasionally assist the design team with the review of shop drawings.
  • Assist the QA/QC group with the review of design documents and specifications.

Frequent travel is required. The position can be fully remote.
