Case Manager Supervisor

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
- Supervise Case Managers and ensure that case notes are completed properly and timely.
- Provide support to staff to Interview and assess clients' needs and develop plans for maintaining housing.
- Conducts routine audits of case management files and provides feedback to Case Managers.
- Collaborates with members of the team to develop appropriate groups and other programs for residents.
- Demonstrate empathy and flexibility in responding to participant and staff needs.
- Supervise assigned staff, to include performance management, on boarding employees in their role.
- Ensure that deadlines are met and that the work produced is of the highest quality.
- Other duties as assigned and/or required by the Program Manager or designee.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Familiar with behaviors, attitudes and issues facing homeless populations.
- Knowledge of community resources, associations and organizations addressing the issues of the population.
- Good written and verbal communications skills; excellent presentation skills.
- Familiarity with signs and symptoms of drug and/or alcohol dependency.
- Must be culturally competent and sensitive towards diverse ethnic groups, cultural groups, and populations.
- Experience supervising staff and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in the Human Services; required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or be a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker; required.
- Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor, must be able to provide counseling services in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of two (3) years of professional experience provide counseling and case management services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or other related populations; required.
- Professional knowledge of the theories, principles, techniques, and practices of social service delivery systems; required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evenings; required.
