Front Counter Clerk

Position Summary:
The Dry Cleaning Counter Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service by receiving, processing, and returning garments. This role includes handling payments, tagging and organizing items, and preparing cleaned garments for customer pickup. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and attentive to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, receive orders, and accurately input customer information into the system.
- Tag and label incoming garments for cleaning or alterations.
- Handle customer payments (cash, credit, and other methods) and issue receipts.
- Bag, sort, and organize cleaned garments for pickup.
- Ensure accuracy of orders and quality of finished items before returning them to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and customer areas.
- Assist with basic store duties as needed (stocking supplies, answering phones, etc.).
- Provide courteous and professional customer service at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads.
Job Type: Part-time
