Staff Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be a crucial part of the team You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, and will be required to quickly design, test, validate designs, and deploy designs. You should be comfortable learning new systems quickly and testing multiple designs to validate the pros and cons of each.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop systems for the next generation of our additive manufacturing equipment
• Perform mechanical design and analysis of new and existing systems
• CAD design and drawing efforts for relevant areas
• Prototype production and testing to validate design concepts
• Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure system compatibility
• Excel as a team leader by mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with other technical disciplines and managing external vendors and consultants
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
• Experienced with manufacturing and supporting designs
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Experienced designing mechanical systems
• Experienced with 3D modeling (Solidworks preferred)
• Proficiency in making and reviewing 2D technical drawings and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Willingness to iterate quickly on designs and allow testing to find flaws
• Demonstrated hands-on equipment and troubleshooting experience
• Experienced handling suppliers and sourcing materials
• PLC programming with ladder logic is a plus.

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The expected salary range for this role is $110,000 to $170,000 annually.
