Practice Group Administrator – International Trade
Job Summary:
The Practice Group Administrator (PGA) will support the International Trade practice group by providing administrative oversight, supervising paralegal staff, and assisting with case preparation and filings. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth case management, compliance with filing requirements, and effective coordination between attorneys and paralegal staff. The PGA also contributes to training, recruitment, and process improvement initiatives within the practice group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute filings at relevant government agencies and courts.
- Manage case materials and litigation support tools to maintain organized case files.
- Draft and review correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
- Supervise the paralegal team, including task distribution, evaluations, and performance feedback.
- Develop and deliver training programs for paralegals on international trade law practices and regulatory changes.
- Monitor and track billable hours for paralegals, ensuring accuracy and productivity.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of paralegal staff.
- Support attorneys in preparation for hearings and appearances.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
- Prior management experience in a legal or administrative setting.
- Experience with filing processes in a legal or administrative environment.
- Experience with antidumping and countervailing duty investigations and related docketing systems strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in legal support, case management, or paralegal roles.
Special Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with litigation support software such as Relativity, Ringtail, Summation, Concordance, Case Map, Text Map, Time Map, and Trial Director.

- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and filing requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Additional Desired Characteristics:
- Prior experience working in international trade law.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Work Environment:
- Professional office environment in the Mid-Atlantic region with occasional travel required.
- Flexible hours may be necessary based on case deadlines.
- Hybrid or remote work may be available depending on business needs.
