POSITION SUMMARY
This is an entry level role with heavy transactional responsibility* reporting to the Director of Human Resources to drive the day-to-day HR transactional tasks.
The HR Admin will be an integral part of the organization responsible for, but not limited to, bi-weekly payroll administration, benefit enrollment, supporting recruitment of new employees, maintaining HR documents and files, and other HR administrative projects and responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
Ensure the proper administration of Human Resources responsibilities is taking place on a day-to-day basis. Act as the first point of call to employees and external vendors for all HR related inquiries. As a priority, handle the majority of employee documentation, including audits, recruitment paperwork, benefit enrollment, and new employee on-boarding documents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and drive HR day-to-day processes
- Prepare and maintain HR documents to include file management, audits, invoice management etc.
- Help employees with questions and issues relating to their employment. i.e., time and attendance, pay inquiries, benefit inquiries, etc.,
- Handle employee onboarding, and off boarding transactional requirements. i.e., background checks, pre-hire administrative tasks, termination administrative tasks.
- Assist with compiling UE Claim responses and hearing schedules. May take part in hearings over time.
- Assist with hiring by posting positions and pre-screening candidates for hiring managers
- Bi-weekly payroll administration
- New employee orientation
- Source job candidates resumes and conduct phone screenings
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Our ideal candidate will have an Associates degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, having familiarity with employment laws and regulations. Bachelors degree highly preferred.
- Must be a self-starter that can work
Must have the highest level of attention to detail to be successful, and the ability to plan and organize.
Impeccable follow up and follow through.
- Someone who is not deterred by roadblocks but can address them autonomously with skill and grace.
- Must be able to collaborate and work independently without direct supervision or oversight.
- Basic knowledge of employment law.
- Some level of exposure to recruiting, payroll administration, or benefits enrollment
