Full Stack/.NET Engineer

Overview:
GovCIO is hiring an experienced Full Stack/.NET Engineer to manage application processes and maintenance for complex conceptual data at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role requires knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and database design to include software maintenance and system enhancements. This position is fully remote within the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts for applications managing complex conceptual data in C#, .NET, and SQL Server environments.
- Develop and optimize data models and database architectures to enhance performance and scalability.
- Conduct SQL code reviews to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering with 8+ years of experience or commensurate professional experience
- Strong skills in .NET Core 7, C#, and ASP.NET.
- Knowledge of software maintenance methodologies, including DevOps.
- Proficiency in SQL database management, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
- Three-Tier Architecture: Experience developing and supporting applications with separate database, API, and front-end layers.
- Security & Compliance: Awareness of secure coding practices and federal standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Database Engineering: Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2019, T-SQL, and database deployments via Azure DevOps.
- Hosting & Infrastructure: Understanding of IIS and Windows-based hosting environments.
- Project Tools & Agile: Proficient with Jira, Agile workflows, and cross-team collaboration in a secure, enterprise environment.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with IoT, embedded systems, and real-time data processing.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range: USD $120, USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
