Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer with a TS/SCI security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC.

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced and self-motivated Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support our active funded government client. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This position requires an Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance, supporting a DOJ FBI five-year contract. The primary work location is Patriots Plaza in Washington DC (with a possible work location of Mission Ridge in Chantilly, VA upon special request and client approval). Some telework flexibility may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Azure Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud infrastructure solutions in the Microsoft Azure environment. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft AzureProvision and configure Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking componentsAutomate deployment and management processes using tools like Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShellMonitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and availability of cloud environmentsImplement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and federal regulationsCollaborate with development and IT operations teams to support application deployment and maintenanceArchitect and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents in a timely mannerProvide guidance and training to teams on Azure services and best practicesParticipate in technical milestone reviews, architecture sessions, and resource estimationCreate and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructureStay current with the latest Azure technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud administration

Required Skills and Competencies:

Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructureStrong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS offeringsProficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar toolsExperience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and deployment modelsKnowledge of networking concepts including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, and load balancersExperience implementing and managing Azure security controls and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with Azure identity and access management (Azure AD, RBAC)Experience with monitoring and managing cloud costs and resource optimizationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Clearance Required:  

Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps EngineerExperience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systemsKnowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AnsibleExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesKnowledge of database services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DBExperience with high-availability and disaster recovery planning in cloud environmentsUnderstanding of government cloud environments (Azure Government)Experience working in a federal government IT environment, especially with FBI or DOJAbility to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment
