INVENTORY ASSISTANT LEAD

Jarlin Cabinet is one of the fastest growing wood cabinetry companies nationwide. Established in 2007, Jarlin Cabinet has been growing in to a leading Kitchen cabinet wholesale warehouse in Charlotte, NC. We have a 100,000+ SF warehouse in Near the airport.

Our Wholesale warehouse currently requires an Inventory Assistant to handle product management and distribution to develop a comprehensive inventory tracking system to streamline our business. The main responsibilities of this position include meeting inventory goals, managing tracking systems and acting as a liaison to other departments. The successful candidate will offer recommendations to ensure ideal levels of inventory in the warehouse. Inventory Assistant Lead responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Communicate with our Manager about current stock and potential issues with orders
  • Develop an inventory tracking system to streamline our business operations
  • Supervise and direct inventory control staff to ensure that deadlines are met, and that work is accurate.
  • Managing and execution of the warehouse cycle count program.
  • Prepare for and lead an annual inventory.
  • Analyze variances of inventory out of balance.
  • Review inventory adjustments and investigate /correct as necessary.
  • Coordinate obsolete/slow moving inventory reduction initiatives
  • Assure product is in proper bins.
  • Establish and follow proper shipping and receiving protocol
  • Efficiently pull, pack, strap, and stage orders
  • Check incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy
  • Unloading of containers
  • Plan and schedule daily work of the warehouse team
  • Supervise and lead staff to obtain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Inspect products for quality and process quality issue reports
  • Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment daily and report any issues to warehouse manager
  • Safely operate stand-up reach and sit-down forklift
  • Work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Work within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goals, and directives.

Inventory Assistant Manager skills

  • 2+ years' supervisory experience
  • Highly organized and deadline oriented
  • Desire to work in a fast paced and positive environment
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of distribution workplaces
  • Responsible for training personnel, reviewing and explaining work, and enforcing company rules and policies.
  • Maintaining equipment, keeping work areas clean and orderly and eliminating safety hazards.
  • Appraising performance and recommending changes in employee status.
