We are a tutoring center dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to students preparing for Advanced Placement (AP) Psychology. Our mission is to help students develop a strong understanding of psychological concepts, critical thinking skills, and test-taking strategies to excel in their AP exams.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable AP Psychology Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, excellent communication skills, and experience in online tutoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one or small-group online tutoring sessions for students preparing for the AP Psychology exam.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to students' needs.
  • Teach key psychological concepts, theories, and research methods, ensuring alignment with the AP Psychology curriculum.
  • Guide students through critical thinking exercises, case studies, and application-based questions to enhance comprehension.
  • Provide support in essay writing, helping students master free-response questions (FRQs) using College Board scoring rubrics.
  • Administer practice exams and provide constructive feedback to improve student performance and confidence.
  • Stay updated on changes to the AP Psychology curriculum, exam format, and scoring guidelines to align teaching strategies with the latest standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the AP Psychology curriculum and College Board standards.
  • Prior experience tutoring or teaching AP Psychology, particularly in an online setting.
  • AP Exam Grader/Reader for College Board (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AP Psychology free-response grading, rubrics, and exam expectations.
  • Ability to break down complex psychological concepts into engaging and easy-to-understand lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students in an online setting.
  • Experience using online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards, and digital assessments.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Reliable internet connection and proficiency in virtual classroom technology.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Flexible hours, based on students' availability.
