Position Overview

We're seeking a passionate and experienced AP Calculus / Advanced Math Tutor who can also support SAT Math preparation. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in higher-level mathematics, enjoys working with motivated middle and high school students, and can adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group virtual tutoring sessions in AP Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, and SAT Math
  • Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with students' academic goals
  • Track progress and provide detailed feedback to students and parents
  • Support students in building problem-solving, test-taking, and time-management skills
  • Communicate consistently and professionally with families and the Acadamic K-12 team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience teaching or tutoring AP-level Math or SAT Prep
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable internet connection and comfort with virtual learning platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and dependable — able to work independently as a contractor
