Position Overview

BOT Group LLC is currently seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer - Consultant to support our client in SC. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to make a strategic impact by designing and implementing enterprise-level technology solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a passion for innovation in enterprise architecture.

Location : Columbia, SC (Hybrid/3 days remote, 2 days in office

Key Responsibilities

  • DESIGN AND DEPLOY SECURE, SCALABLE CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ON AWS AND AZURE.

  • AUTOMATE AND DEVELOP CLOUD SECURITY TOOLS AND ACCELERATORS.

  • SUPPORT SECURITY OPERATIONS WITH SIEM, SOAR, AND XDR SOLUTIONS.

  • TROUBLESHOOT AND RESOLVE CONFIGURATION ISSUES ACROSS ENVIRONMENTS.

  • ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH FRAMEWORKS LIKE NIST, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, CMMC, ETC.

  • IMPLEMENT ZERO TRUST SECURITY IN CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS.

  • WORK WITH STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT CLIENTS.

  • TRAVEL AS NEEDED FOR CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENTS.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 yrs info security & engineering
  • 5+ yrs AWS/Azure infrastructure & firewall management
  • Cloud security design, ops, and automation
  • Security documentation & incident reporting
  • AWS or Azure certification
  • 5+ yrs deploying/maintaining Palo Alto (VM series, firewalls)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella

  • F5 load balancing/firewall

  • CISSP or SC-100 certification

  • AWS/Microsoft Cloud Architect certs

  • Prisma, PCNSA, or PCNSE certifications
