Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the highest standards of service and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role requires effective communication and organizational skills to manage a team, drive sales, and maintain inventory control within our workshop environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise workshop staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
- Oversee daily operations including scheduling shifts, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate inventory management processes including purchasing, stocking, and inventory control to meet customer demands.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews for new hires and assist in recruiting efforts to build a strong team.
- Utilize retail math for budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales management to maximize profitability.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed during transactions at the point of sale (POS).
- Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is essential.
- Strong background in customer service with the ability to handle various customer interactions professionally.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, leadership, time management, and organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and administrative tasks related to workshop operations.
- Experience with inventory management systems and cash handling procedures is preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to enhance communication with diverse clientele.
