Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Retired Attorney to review and collaborate with management on a myriad of Real Estate related issues that surface from time to time.

The instant case involves Property Owners and an HOA.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Real Estate Law and an ability to articulate concepts and perspectives in Mediation settings designed to result in a Win/Win resolution for all stakeholders.

Duties

  • Provide insights and experience to complex sitations.
  • Conduct appropriate research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support our postion on the instant matters
  • Review and comment as necessary on various legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Submit your opinions regarding court proceedings and negotiations while advocating for all Property Owners best interests.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with our Board and Management as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active or retired license to practice law.
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Real Estate or Securities law.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in litigation or settlement discussions.
  • Sufficient writing skills with experience in legal documentation.
  • Able to conduct legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about Property Owners rights, particualrly as they relate to the relationships and contracts between an HOA and their Managemnt Companies.
  • Compensation will be a percentage of the Settlement Proceeds paid as a "Success Fee". All costs will be paid in addition to the Success Fee.
