Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues efficiently. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Automotive Mechanic will work on a variety of vehicles, including GM vehicles, and will be responsible for both routine maintenance and complex repairs.

Duties

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, and brake repair
  • Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems and mechanical components
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues related to powertrain, alignment, suspension, and more
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repairs
  • Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems
  • Repair diesel engines and air brake systems as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop

Skills

  • Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics
  • Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred
  • Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Experience with automotive repair including transmissions, shocks & struts, and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain and suspension
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs
  • Experience in auto body repair and auto estimating is beneficial
