Deiesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Pittsburg, KS. They will involve in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure peak performance and safety for a leading waste management and recycling services provider. They must be safety-focused and able to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and comprehensive safety inspections.
• Identify and efficiently resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Maintain detailed service logs, work orders, and accurate repair documentation.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to prioritize service needs and minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure strict compliance with all company safety protocols and environmental standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is mandatory.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with heavy equipment and diesel engines is required.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Vocational training or certification in diesel technology is preferred.
• Previous experience in waste management or a similar industrial environment is a plus.
