Role Overview:

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart building solutions and sustainable technologies, is seeking an experienced Technology Director to join our team in Atlanta. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing technology initiatives, managing high-impact projects, and leading a skilled team to implement innovative solutions that improve business operations and foster long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, IT professionals, and technology experts in Atlanta, ensuring successful deployment of technology projects that drive operational success.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology strategies with the company's overarching goals and objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end management of technology projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, stay within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends, integrating innovative solutions that provide a competitive edge and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement within the technology team.
  • Support the growth and professional development of team members through mentoring, training, and career development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure technology solutions meet business needs and expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 10 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, preferably in IT, building technologies, or a related industry.
  • Proven success managing large-scale, complex technology projects from start to finish.
  • Expertise in enterprise systems, cloud technologies, and modern IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and engage senior management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and developing diverse teams.
  • Experience in hybrid work environments and familiarity with modern remote collaboration tools.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: Typically 10-20% of base salary
