The Role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes). You'll be responsible for managing and optimizing existing cloud environments, automating deployments, and leading the migration of legacy systems to cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS environments.
- Monitor, optimize, and ensure high availability and performance of cloud systems.
CI/CD & Automation:
- Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Integrate automated testing, code quality, and security scanning into pipelines.
Containerization & Orchestration:
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
- Manage and scale containerized workloads using Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
Legacy System Migration:
- Assess existing legacy systems and plan cloud migration strategies.
- Execute smooth migrations with minimal downtime and ensure post-migration optimization.
Monitoring & Incident Management:
- Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with development and operations teams to drive DevOps best practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging DevOps technologies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization and orchestration.
- Proven experience in migrating legacy applications to cloud infrastructure.
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect) is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Bash, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
