The Role: Senior Financial Reporting ManagerAs a Senior Financial Reporting Manager at Switch, you will be part of a world-class team that operates in excellence, delivering mission-critical solutions that redefine what's possible in AI, cloud and enterprise data center needs. Your work will directly impact the future of technology and the sustainable growth of the Internet.
In this role you will perform the preparation and analysis of multiple sets of financial statements in a dynamic private company environment. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with various debt covenants and reporting requirements, and will involve significant technical accounting research, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, experience with complex capital structures, and a forward-thinking mindset—especially in leveraging AI tools to enhance financial reporting processes.
What You'll Do- Be responsible for the preparation of multiple sets of GAAP-compliant financial statements to meet the needs of various stakeholders, including shareholders, lenders and internal management.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Conduct and document technical accounting research on complex transactions (e.g., debt modifications, equity arrangements, revenue recognition).
- Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting in collaboration with the General Accounting team.
- Collaborate with external auditors and co-manage the year-end audit process.
- Partner with Treasury, Legal, and FP&A teams to ensure alignment on financial disclosures and covenant compliance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes using AI and automation tools; lead or support implementation of such technologies.
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting.

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including public accounting and/or private industry.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP) and experience with complex financial instruments and debt structures.
- Demonstrated experience preparing multiple sets of financials for different stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting for debt transactions, including issuance, modification, extinguishment, covenant compliance, and related disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP.
- Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, JD Edwards, ReportsNow, Workday Adaptive) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar) in a financial reporting or accounting context is highly preferred.
