Behavior Technician (Training Provided) / Entry-Level ABA Therapist – Colonial Heights, VA

Clinic-Based | Full-Time & Part-Time | $17.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience & education)

At Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE), Behavior Technicians work directly with children diagnosed with autism, helping them build communication, social, and daily living skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This position includes paid training to earn the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential — no prior ABA experience required.

Position Details

  • Setting: Clinic-based (Colonial Heights, VA)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Status: Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Pay Range: $17.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience and education)

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Follow individualized treatment and behavior plans
  • Record session data accurately using digital tools
  • Collaborate with BCBAs and other team members
  • Support children in developing independence and functional skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Coursework in psychology, education, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, tutoring, coaching, or camp counseling)
  • Reliable, patient, and eager to learn new skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
