Who You'll Work With
As a Senior Principal in Intelligent Operations, you'll join Slalom's Adaptive Organizations capability, partnering with clients to reimagine how operations get done as. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior executive clients, and technical experts to deliver transformative operational solutions powered by emerging technologies and the new ways of working required to make them successful.

This role also involves working closely with other members of the Adaptive Board team, the broader Outcomes team, and capability leaders and consultants across Slalom. Because Intelligent Operations is the confluence of process, people, and AI solutions, a key component of this role is working internally with people who have different skill sets to understand their needs, incorporate them into our solutions, and help create, sell, and deliver the future of operations consulting.

What You'll Do
Thought Leadership & Capability Development

  • Contribute to the evolution of Slalom's Intelligent Operations methodology, assets, and point of view.
  • Mentor and coach consultants in Operational Improvement and Intelligent Operations delivery.
  • Represent Slalom at industry events, panels, and internal forums to share insights and trends.
  • Collaborate with other capabilities (e.g., AI & Data, Product Engineering, Strategy) to co-create integrated solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning across the Adaptive Organizations and Outcomes teams.

Ways of Working

  • Champion the adoption of centralized frameworks for continuous improvement, process and change management, and knowledge sharing.
  • Establish feedback loops and retrospectives to capture best practices and lessons learned across all AI delivery activities.
  • Provide leadership alignment and change management support to scale Intelligent Operations and ensure consistent adoption across the enterprise.
  • Effectively communicate the vision, value, and impact of Intelligent Operations to internal and external stakeholders, inspiring action and buy-in.

Sales & Business Development

  • Shape go-to-market strategies and solution positioning for Intelligent Operations across industries.
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with COOs, CIOs, CHROs, and operational leaders.
  • Influence pipeline development through thought leadership, client storytelling, and strategic account planning.
  • Partner with market teams to identify and pursue Intelligent Operations opportunities.

Support Delivery as a Subject Matter Expert

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Intelligent Operations, Adaptive Organizations Outcomes, and the tools and methodologies that underpin our work.
  • Advise and support delivery teams with deep expertise in emerging technologies and new ways of working.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess current-state operations, roles, and pain points, identifying high-impact opportunities for the application of emerging technologies and innovative practices.
  • Guide clients and internal teams through transformation using Slalom's proprietary accelerators (e.g., EnhanceIQ, AI Value Platform, Celonis C4C).
  • Support the design and implementation of intelligent operating models with embedded governance, observability, and KPI-driven enhancement.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years in consulting or industry roles focused on operational transformation, process improvement, or AI-enabled business operations.
  • Proven success in leading complex engagements with measurable outcomes.
  • Quantitative, financial ROI analysis—ability to assess, model, and communicate the business impact of operational and technology investments.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk mitigation, value realization, and human-machine collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in designing and deploying intelligent operating models.
  • Ability to translate strategy into execution across people, process, and technology.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis), automation platforms (e.g., UIPath), and AI strategy.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $159,000 to $202,00. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
