Job Description:

As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a Catering Sales Manager. As a Catering Sales Manager you will play a vital role in driving sales and building relationships with new and existing clients. You will be responsible for generating leads, managing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. This position requires a keen understanding of the catering industry, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, passionate, creative and possess an upbeat positive attitude and have a strong focus on sales and event planning. As a key member of our catering department, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, building client relationships, and ensuring seamless event execution. The job responsibilities for this role (include but is not limited to):

  • Actively pursuing and securing new catering sales opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and client referrals.

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their event needs and provide tailored catering solutions, demonstrating a strong understanding of our offerings and the ability to upsell additional services.

  • Managing the end-to-end event planning process, from initial client consultation to on-site event coordination, ensuring all aspects of the event meet or exceed client expectations.

  • Fostering and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service and acting as a reliable point of contact for all catering inquiries.

  • Working closely with the culinary, beverage and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events, including menu customization, staffing requirements, and logistical arrangements.

  • Utilizing company approved systems to track sales activities, manage client information, and generate reports to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Communications or related field OR at least 5 years in sales and event planning.

  • Proven track record in sales, with a strong understanding of the sales cycle and experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Solid background in event planning and coordination, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while paying close attention to detail.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, as well as a passion for staying updated on the latest catering and event planning best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to create professional presentations, floor plans, BEOS and reports.
