Role
The Operations Manager keeps the store running efficiently every day. You'll oversee inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, and order fulfillment, ensuring that customers get what they need — on time, every time.
You'll lead a team of warehouse, admin, and customer support staff to help deliver an exceptional customer experience. The Ops Manager reports to the Chief Experience Manager (CXM), who leads the store.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure products are in stock
- Oversee receiving, unloading, putaway, cycle counting, and order picking
- Manage order fulfillment and ensure customer deadlines are met
- Lead, train, and schedule warehouse and admin staff
- Communicate with customers, vendors, freight carriers, and internal teams
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Track and improve operational processes for better efficiency
- Drive an operations culture based on safety, accountability, and customer service
- Own back-of-house administrative functions and inventory reporting for the store
- Provide dotted-line leadership to sales and design associates
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in retail, warehouse, or distribution operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative
- Tech-comfortable — uses systems and tools (primarily NetSuite and vendor ordering portals) to drive accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent communication and follow-through
- A servant-leader mindset — willing to roll up your sleeves to help the team
- Integrity, accountability, and a sense of urgency
- Willingness to work some Saturdays (retail schedule)
- Experience with home improvement, construction, or kitchen design products are a bonus
Physical & Work Environment
- Work performed in a warehouse setting
- Frequent walking, standing, and computer use
- Must be able to operate warehouse tools - lift/picker, pallet jack, scanner, etc
- Speaking with customers and team members in person and by phone
- Occasional travel to nearby stores or meetings
