Remote, Oregon, United States Conceptra Biosciences Full time $170,000 - $185,000 per year

About Conceptra Biosciences

Research has long overlooked women's health. Excluding cancers, less than 2% of healthcare research is invested in conditions experienced by women—and we're determined to change that.

At Conceptra Biosciences, we're redefining how women's health solutions are discovered, developed, and delivered. Our work spans diagnostics, devices, and medications—all designed to support women's autonomy and advance equitable care. We collaborate across traditional silos of science, technology, and medicine to bring forward innovations that improve outcomes and access for women everywhere.

Founded in 2020, Conceptra is a fast-growing life sciences company committed to advancing the next generation of women's health therapies through evidence-based science, cross-disciplinary partnerships, and patient-centered innovation.

Role Summary

The Director, Market Access & Payer Strategy will architect and execute the payer and trade strategies that make Conceptra's products accessible, reimbursed, and distributed across U.S. markets. You'll lead pricing, reimbursement, and trade partnerships, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver successful launches and sustainable access for our expanding portfolio of women's health products.

This is a high-impact role for a commercially strategic, analytically sharp leader who can navigate payers, providers, and PBMs with equal fluency—and who's motivated by advancing access in women's healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Market Access & Payer Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive market access and reimbursement strategies across commercial, Medicaid, and specialty channels.
  • Lead payer negotiations, formulary placement, PBM contracting, and value-based agreements to maximize patient access and business outcomes.
  • Translate clinical and health-economic evidence into compelling payer value propositions and communication tools.
  • Build gross-to-net models and inform pricing strategy to optimize margins while maintaining accessibility.

Trade & Distribution Strategy

  • Build and manage strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, PBMs, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Design trade corridors, inventory management plans, and contracting frameworks to ensure product availability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and Commercial Operations to align pricing and incentive structures while maintaining compliance.

Launch & Portfolio Integration

  • Lead market access and trade planning for new product launches, including market segmentation, payer mapping, and contracting strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Clinical to align access strategies with evidence generation and go-to-market plans.

Leadership, Budget & Reporting

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across access, trade, and reimbursement functions.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and access KPIs.
  • Provide regular performance updates, insights, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all market access and trade operations adhere to federal, state, and industry regulations, including anti-kickback and transparency laws.
  • Draft and implement SOPs and best practices to maintain audit readiness and compliance integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Health Policy, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH) strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or medical device market access, payer strategy, or trade leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success launching pharmaceutical products and driving reimbursement strategies.
  • Deep understanding of pricing, contracting, formulary access, and PBM relationships.
  • Experience managing pharmaceutical trade and distribution partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and modeling capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Experience in reproductive or women's health therapeutics is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel on occasion.

Why Join Conceptra

  • Be part of a company redefining how science serves women's health—where every innovation aims to close the research gap and expand access to care.
  • Lead strategy and execution in a mission-critical function that directly shapes patient access, market growth, and the future of women's health.
  • Join a passionate, innovative, and diverse team united by purpose, curiosity, and a deep belief in equitable healthcare for all.
  • Collaborate in a mission-driven culture with strong executive sponsorship, authentic leadership, and room to grow.
  • Enjoy competitive compensation, performance-based incentives, equity participation, and opportunities for professional development—in an organization that invests in its people as much as its science.
