The Senior Data Engineer will participate and influence technical design discussions collaborating with the application engineering teams to ensure robust and scalable integration across Careforth products. This position will participate in the 'DataHub' architecture for processing and analyzing data across Careforth products. This role will also serve as a mentor to junior developers.

• Design robust, scalable and secure data processing systems within the evolving data infrastructure of Careforth
• Participate and represent the data team in critical design discussions with technical leads across various products 
• Collaborate with application developers, product managers and business analysts to understand the requirements and translate them into design specifications and code 
• Perform pull request reviews for other engineers to quality check work 
• Troubleshoot processes in production, especially those that lead to architectural adjustments as the platform grows and matures 
• Research and apply evolving tools and technologies suitable to the technical environment 
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Background in Computer Science or related field 
• 7-10 years' experience doing data engineering work with at least 3+ years working with newer data lake type architectures 
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and data pipelines 
• Strong experience working with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing 
• Experience working with AWS services such as EMR, Redshift, S3 is required 
• Proficient with at least one of the following programming languages – Python, Databricks, Spark, Java, and/or Scala

The pay range for this position is $96,935 - $160,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
