Head of Marketing

HealthLeap is an AI start-up revolutionizing healthcare through predictive analytics, initially focused on disease-related malnutrition—a critical form of patient deterioration affecting virtually every hospital condition. Our mission is to maximize health outcomes globally by building a scalable AI platform that screens patients comprehensively using electronic health records (EHRs), labs, clinical notes, and more.
We're experiencing explosive growth, with contracts and pilots at top US health systems like Cedars-Sinai, Intermountain Health, Penn Medicine, and many others. We have unprecedented access to EHR data (far more than competitors: 10s of billions of tokens per hospital + vast structured data across 100% of inpatients), positioning us to expand into additional conditions like pressure ulcers, congestive heart failure, infections, readmissions, and mortality predictions. With a unique strategy and no direct competitors (due to our 2+ year lead and regulatory advantages), we are setting out to become a $100B+ company.
The Opportunity
As the Head of Marketing, you will build HealthLeap's entire marketing function from the ground up. This role is for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves. You will partner with our team and personally own everything from strategy to execution - messaging, product marketing, content, demand generation, campaigns, PR, events, customer storytelling, website, and more.
This is a rare opportunity to shape how a brand-new discipline in healthcare - AI-powered screening - is understood, adopted, and scaled across the industry. You won't just market a product; you will create and define an entirely new category.
You will also have gold in your hands from day one: top-tier VCs have invested in us, and we are already partnering with some of the most innovative health systems in the country- including Penn Medicine, Intermountain Health, Houston Methodist, Cedars-Sinai, and Emory. We have exceptional results, published evidence, and case studies that demonstrate real impact- yet we have never done any real PR or marketing around these successes. The raw material is extraordinary; it simply needs the right leader to shape it into category-defining storytelling.
This is a rare chance to craft the identity of one of the most impactful companies in healthcare AI while building a function, a category, and a lasting market presence from 0 → 1.
Responsibilities
Build and own HealthLeap's end-to-end marketing function, processes, and roadmap
Develop and continuously refine our core messaging, value propositions, and category narrative targeting both our ICP as well as local Bay Area talent.
Lead product marketing efforts across positioning, market research, differentiation, and competitive intelligence
Create high-quality content across formats and functions: enablement materials, pitch decks, GTM assets, whitepapers, case studies, videos, web copy, and more.
Own top-of-funnel through a rigorous Account-Based Marketing (ABM) approach - including targeted outbound BD outreach, social amplification, campaigns, personalized messaging, and coordinated multi-channel touchpoints to warm, activate, and convert priority health system accounts
Own digital strategy, including website development, social presence, analytics, optimization, and SEO
Manage event strategy and field execution
Build and scale the marketing team as the company grows
Track and report on marketing performance, KPIs, funnel health, and revenue contribution
Requirements
Proven experience building and leading a marketing function in a fast-growing startup (0→1 or 1→N)
A strong portfolio of prior marketing work demonstrating clarity, creativity, and impact across formats
Deep experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and multi-channel outbound motions (email, social, executive outreach, targeted lists) within B2B enterprise SaaS
Demonstrated success driving top-of-funnel pipeline, demand generation, and measurable revenue outcomes
Strong analytical mindset with expertise in marketing analytics, attribution, funnel management, and experiment design
Hands-on execution ability across content, campaigns, messaging, events, digital, and brand — comfortable rolling up your sleeves in the early stages
Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with founder-level ownership, urgency, and accountability
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in healthcare or selling into health systems
Demonstrated success in building a category or launching a net-new product
A strong personal social presence and ability to leverage it for thought leadership and brand amplification
