Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory/Technical Assistant for in the lab of Dr. Yang Lyu within the School of Arts and Sciences.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

• Prepares food media, substances, solutions and related duties.
• Performs aging research design and lifespan and molecular experiments.
• Assists with supply upkeep and keeps lab clean and organized.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research study experience carrying out research protocols and tests, or other technical work may be substituted for the degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in Drosophila lifespan research.
