Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our procurement and supply chain team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and services. The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for leveraging ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to support sourcing activities aligned with manufacturing and logistics requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across multiple categories, including manufacturing, logistics, and materials management.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct contract negotiations, review contractual agreements, and manage contract lifecycle processes in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company policies.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to perform procurement management, purchasing, and supply chain planning activities.
  • Analyze market trends, perform root cause analysis on supply issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, quality management, and logistics to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Manage category sourcing activities by conducting supplier evaluations, negotiations on pricing, lead times, and service levels.
  • Support procurement processes related to MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory control, and demand forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations while maintaining strong supplier management practices.
  • Lead initiatives in category management, procurement process improvements, and supply chain efficiency enhancements.

Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement or sourcing roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is required.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices including pricing strategies, quality management, logistics coordination, and materials management.
  • Experience working within regulated environments or following Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation, root cause analysis, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Prior experience with production planning or manufacturing processes is advantageous. This role is ideal for professionals committed to driving procurement excellence through strategic sourcing, effective supplier engagement, and innovative supply chain solutions.
