Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

As a Digital Transformation and Innovation Data Product Analyst, you will be responsible for defining core processes, systems, and implementing innovative technical solutions within HCA Healthcare theatre in support of the Financial Data Product Portfolio. Patient Insyte will serve as a comprehensive, secure, and organized collection of individual patient health information, and is the foundation for critical data-driven decisions, powering analytics, applications, insights, and innovations across our healthcare ecosystem.

The Patient Insyte- Financial Data Product Analyst position within the HCA Data Office, is responsible for ownership and support of the Patient Insyte – Financial Data product at HCA. The primary function of this role is to serve as Product subject matter expert, and liaison between DTI and business partners in support of Financial analytical and application initiatives. This role is responsible for analyzing and understanding the HCA GCP product ecosystem, collaborating with the Director of Clinical Products to implement the strategic vision, roadmap, and feature priorities, and creating value through the timely delivery of new capabilities within the Data Product.

In this role you will be responsible for innovating our care team processes, making them more intelligent, impactful, and efficient. In so doing, you will help our clinicians provide the best care possible and have a better experience in their work.

What you will do:

  • Product Development
  • Partner closely with Analysts, Architecture, Engineering, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to translate product vision into actionable plans, user stories, and technical requirements as well as drive adoption and usage of the Patient Insyte product through effective marketing, training, and support initiatives.
  • Define detailed key results to support pod objectives; perform analyses as needed for OKR measurement.
  • Support product owner in day-to-day tasks, particularly around sprint management
  • Assist with material collation and analysis in preparation for product demos, quarterly business reviews, and other report-outs for the pod
  • Work with Product Owner to develop Objectives and Key Results; define measurement strategies for key results (e.g., how to collect data, source system identification) and set measurement methodology
  • Partner with Project Management and lead agile product development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
  • This role will resolve issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with subject matter experts.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with Use Case Pods and ensure product alignment to upcoming QBR/OKRs.
  • Work with Data Governance Pods to ensure alignment on Metadata Management and Data Quality.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Assist with material collation and analysis in preparation for product demos, quarterly business reviews, and other report-outs for the pod
  • Use statistical tools and data visualization techniques to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and presentation materials (including process flows, product feature details, and user guides or explanations)
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret product performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, or related field Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
  • Master's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in the use case domain area, with strong communication (verbal, written) skills. Strong problem solver with experience in both technical and functional areas required
  • Certification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies preferred
