Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various technical fields, including HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment and systems in residential and commercial settings. The Service Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various appliances and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and identify potential problems.
  • Conduct field service visits to assess customer needs and provide timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their equipment needs and repair processes.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems.
  • Knowledge of construction principles as they relate to installation and repair work.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to HVAC design and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to use tools such as an ohmmeter for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Experience in welding is beneficial for certain repair tasks.
  • Background in property maintenance or appliance repair is advantageous.
