HireArt seeking an Electrical Test Technician to support system and component-level testing within a fast-paced electrical engineering and robotics test lab. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments, executing tests from setup to results while working closely with engineers to validate next-generation electro-mechanical systems.

If you have 3+ years of lab experience, have run tests end-to-end, and enjoy troubleshooting dynamic test setups, this is a great fit. Experience with dyno testing, robotics, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems will make you stand out.

As An Electrical Test Technician, You'll

  • Operate and maintain dynamometers (dyno) to simulate real-world conditions for component and system-level tests.
  • Execute test plans end-to-end, from setup and flashing modules to data collection, troubleshooting, and results reporting.
  • Build and assemble test bucks, wiring harnesses, and fixtures from CAD drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Perform component and system tests on electrical, mechanical, or robotic systems and record results with precision.
  • Use EE lab tools — oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, data loggers — to validate system behavior.
  • Flash firmware or software onto modules and maintain version traceability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot test failures; communicate findings and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues quickly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of lab processes, test quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a test lab or R&D environment (robotics, automotive, or electro-mechanical).
  • Proven ability to run component or system tests independently, from setup through reporting.
  • Skilled with electrical lab instrumentation and comfortable working with mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills; able to work cross-functionally with engineers and technicians.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience operating axle-hub or chassis dynos.
  • Familiarity with HIL systems (e.g., dSPACE) or automation scripting (Python, Bash).
  • Experience with robotics, mechanical test rigs, or R&D lab environments.
  • Knowledge of Linux, CAN, Ethernet, or high-voltage systems (not required if strong test-execution background).
