• Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years
• Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness
• Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute

The role you'll contribute:

The Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Technician, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital. In addition, Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Technician, assists in supervising the activities of the pharmacy department's team of Pharmacy Technicians and assists in the maintenance of the pharmacy's operations. The Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Technician, performs a wide range of supportive duties to assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication so that patients receive consistent care.

• Other duties as assigned.
• Executes expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across all core and advanced workflows, systems, and operational programs. Demonstrates leadership in medication preparation, sterile and hazardous compounding, inventory and controlled substance management, and regulatory compliance. Maintains proficiency in all Tech IV functions and provides coverage in any core or advanced pharmacy practice areas as needed to address staff shortages, support program and service performance, and assure achievement of strategic goals across patient care areas serviced by the pharmacy team.
• Leads strategic quality improvement, education, and practice advancement projects in assigned areas. Participates in research or innovation efforts. Represents pharmacy in committees, shared governance, and enterprise initiatives. Champions innovation and continuous professional growth.
• Mentors pharmacy technicians and supports onboarding, competency validation, and peer development. Provides training and guidance on purchasing systems, inventory workflows, and regulatory documentation practices.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

• High School Grad or Equiv Required
• 3 Work Experience Required
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC) State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
• PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT - PTCB)
• NHA Pharmacy Technician (CPHT - NHA)
