Antenna is seeking a highly strategic, business-savvy, and bipartisan Public Affairs leader to lead, scale, and shape our Public Affairs practice. The right candidate will bring a proven track record of generating new business, building lasting relationships, and leading high-performance teams. The role demands both strong client leadership and the ability to develop and execute a clear growth strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible for attracting and developing top-tier talent to build an award-winning team that delivers industry-leading public affairs campaigns. Working closely with Antenna's executive team, you will elevate the agency's public affairs and crisis communications capabilities, shape thought leadership across the climate and energy policy landscape, and expand our influence in Washington and beyond.

This position is based in Washington, DC, reporting to the Chief Client Officer.
What You'll Do
Business Development + Growth Strategy
- Lead efforts to source, nurture, and acquire new clients and grow existing relationships - particularly in climate, clean energy, nuclear policy, and crisis communications work - to meet aggressive business goals.
- Drive the practice's financial performance, including P&L management, pricing strategy, and operational efficiency.
- Leverage your existing bipartisan network across government, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and media to open doors and build trust.
- Lead the development and delivery of compelling, customized new business proposals and pitch presentations that align with client objectives and showcase Antenna's capabilities.
- Represent Antenna at industry forums, policy roundtables, and stakeholder meetings, helping position the firm as a top-tier public affairs agency for innovators, and establish a strong thought leadership presence through speaking engagements, authored content, and strategic visibility.
Client Strategy + Campaign Leadership
- Provide senior-level strategy counsel to clients, ensuring their public affairs, advocacy, and crisis strategies are aligned with business and policy objectives.
- Lead integrated, bipartisan campaigns that navigate the complex policy environment, with a particular focus on climate, sustainability and adjacent technologies.
- Guide and support teams in executing high-quality, results-driven campaigns that influence policy, engage stakeholders, and elevate client visibility.
- Manage sensitive communications and provide sound advice in high-pressure or reputational situations.
- Oversee a rigorous review process for all client materials, plans, and advocacy efforts to ensure quality control, strategic alignment, and creative excellence.
- Work with practice Vice Presidents to identify and act on opportunities to expand client relationships and broaden the scope of advocacy and engagement efforts.
Team Leadership + Talent Development
- Build and lead a resilient, collaborative team that is motivated by mission and measured by impact.
- Coach and mentor public affairs professionals to build deep subject-matter expertise, client confidence, and cross-functional skills.
- Partner with the executive team to define hiring priorities, forecast talent needs, and promote a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Foster a proactive, solutions-focused team environment where creativity and strategic thinking thrive.
- Work closely with Chief Client Officer and SVP of Resource Management to assign and monitor monthly staff client allocations, adjusting account workloads as appropriate.
Who You Are
- 15+ years of Public Affairs experience, including leadership in an agency setting with P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow revenue, particularly in the climate, sustainability and clean energy sectors.
- Politically balanced and adept at working with stakeholders across the political spectrum.
- An expert communicator with the ability to distill complex policy issues into compelling strategies and clear client counsel.
- Strong network of bipartisan relationships in Washington, including within relevant agencies, industry coalitions, and Congress.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with operational rigor—you drive both strategy and execution.
- Passionate about the intersection of policy, innovation, and impact—and eager to scale a practice that helps shape the future of energy and sustainability.
