Our client, a national healthcare services company, seeks to hire a Segment Controller in its Atlanta office. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, cash flow management, and providing financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions. The Segment Controller will be dedicated to a $150M+ division and will be tasked with building efficient processes to support scale of this rapidly growing segment.

Location: Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. Only local candidates are being considered. Please do not apply if you do not reside in the Atlanta area.

Compensation: $140K - $150k annual salary, depending on experience plus 15% target bonus

Hybrid Work Environment: 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Responsibilities

  • Oversee GL, AP, and AR for the assigned division
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections
  • Escalate collection issues with stakeholders as needed
  • Review intercompany billing and allocations, and develop billing strategies to support new business ventures and multi-entity operations
  • Lead month-end close process for the assigned division, including journal entry approvals and reconciliations in Blackline
  • Perform variance analyses (revenue, margin, OPEX) and present results to leadership
  • Identify process improvement areas, and implement solutions to enhance performance, especially in support of expected rapid scaling
  • Support audit and tax compliance activities
  • Manage performance and career development of direct reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA license is required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience is required, including 3+ years of previous controller experience
  • Previous healthcare experience is a strong preference. Previous professional services experience (audit, advisory, consulting, etc.) is also acceptable.
  • Must have advanced experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
  • Previous Blackline experience is preferred, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140, $160,000.00 per year
